Last year, I got a similar 80W iron from a different brand on AliExpress and I paid 3 times more. Tested this and they both perform the same way. Plus this has a better quality power cable. I like the red color too. The only negative part is the responsiveness of On/Off button. It requires to push it for more than 10 seconds or so. Still, I am very happy with this purchase. Very fast shipping and delivery too. 💯

You won't have the pristine reliability of the thermal Delta of a decent solder station, with this iron. But it comes pretty darn close to one! And for the price, having a fairly accurate digital temp adjustment, with the ability to calibrate makes it an outstanding value! NOTE: If you're building a starter kit, do not buy the really cheap solder with this iron, just to save money. That solder is pure tin, not an alloy, and you will become frustrated while using it. Buy decent eutectic 63/37 tin/lead solder to learn with this iron. Also, as with most inexpensive items, it will require some fit and finish work to be optimal. I sanded the bottom of the black screw cap that has the tube attached to limit how far the tip is pressed (which prevents breaking the ceramic core), and doing this allowed the inside of the end of the tip to make direct contact, improving heat transfer and temp accuracy tremendously. You must be careful not to sand too much away, or it won't support the tip anymore

I got a defective soldering iron. It initially worked then made a buzzing/humming sound and did not heat up after. When it did work it heated up fast. Really not bad for the price. Best get some better grade solder with this item and extra tips.
